I have the same problem, even after you have reinstalled the drivers in the order as suggested by Dell. Well, here is where I have to this day Even when it was working, the fingerprint login was so slow that it was faster to just type the password. Configure fingerprint login Dell laptop on July 17, I want to clean it Vista install to get rid of the nonsense bundle software etc etc that comes and loads up on startup with Vista but I do quite like the features that the fingerprint reader offers to me and realize that a facility would own it. Reset Once installed, you can install the driver from Dell ControlVault Restart and you should now see the biometric device.

If I can stop the command, it hangs at the screen bright blue vista saying “logout”. Do you use 32 or 64 bit OS?

Same clang of the other computers in the domain, in that I am, the response slows down gradually and then fails several times, before becoming inaccessible.

I did the installation in the right order on my E with XP Professional. Clear any previously stored security settings implemented such as TPM enablement, fingerprints enrolled, BIOS passwords, preboot credentials, etc.
I encounter another problem which seems to be related to the fingerprint software. In the administrator settings, you will find two tabs; General and advanced. If you post here tell them that you already posted on the Audio card to the laptop so that they will not move your message here.
